President/Vice president at work got fired


This is bad, very bad...

you just cant seem to find a nice place can ya? how does the president of the company get fired? board of directors?

Feel your pain, my company is in the process of being bought out, nobody knows what is going to happen. Could be out of a job shortly

I hate my job at the momment!
I have twice nearly bought a workshop, in the last month, but the wood duck owner keeps changing his mind and stuffing me around

I agree, work in general does suck. But, if I wans't working then I wouldn't be able to make DK richer

Well, I feel for all you guys in bad situations. It is for sure, scary.

I just wanted to tell you guys that my new situation is going great, so I think there is hope for you. My success or failure depends only on me and my performance. There are little to no politics involved (as much as is possible anyway). The work is pretty good, and abundant, as you all may have noticed that I'm not postwhoring as much as I used to.

Board of directors, and the investment firm that bought us out recently.

Mine work sucks story starts with a 5am page yesterday on what was supposed to be a holday.. An app which has been failing frequently awoke me from my sleep. Then to top it off, the control center woman was a real bitch... Fast forward to this morning, same app fails, I call the control center to update them that it's back up, and who do I get? You guessed it. So this morning she hangs up on me. I guaran****ingtee you I am going to find out who this phone jockey's manager is today. There is no reason to talk to people like this woman does..

They told all of us to get our resume's ready, "just in case"

That's not good. I feel your pain though. They keep saying that a bunch of us are gonna be layed off here shortly too.

Yes they did, and I wouldn't have come if I would have known this was coming. We just got bought out, so I'm good until '05, after that I have no idea if I'll have a job or not. The job market is horrible in this area, so I'll have to move out of the state if I lose my job this time next year. The company that bought us is in Atlanta, so maybe hotlanta could be the next destination but I If I have a choice I'll move down to PHX or Sactown, but jobs in Sactown are hard to come by as well. Man this economy isn't getting any better.

Work rocks. I got a new job on Feb 2nd. The lady I'm replacing is retiring at the end of May so I'm just sitting with her learning. Right now I have zero real responsibilities. I'm making more $$$ (still not mad bank, but has potential) and have tons less stress. Oh, and summers are kind of a slow time so it's not a problem to take time off for racing/trackdays.
