Don't forget it's simple maths: Calories in vs calolories out. If you burn off more than you eat then you will lose weight.

Also, to help you burn fat you need to eat fat. By this I mean "GOOD" fat. Nuts, sunflower oils etc.

Caloric macro breakdown is; Protein is 4 cals per gram, Carbs is 4 calories per gram, Fat is 9 cals per gram. High protein diets are the way forward.

When losing weight your body will want to use protein as fuel before fat so to maintain the muscle you have, try and keep your protein high to maintain the muscle.

Your body works 25% harder to break down protein than the other 2 macros so makes your metabolism work harder.

Carbs main use is in your body is energy so eat enough carbs for exercise etc, but not too much.

Always have protein as your main source of food for each meal and work carbs and fats around it.

Keep water intake high as sometimes hunger is mistaken for dehydration. Also this will keep everything ticking over nicely and keep your body flushed of toxins.

Just a few to be going on with.
I eat nuts n raisins. Good post..REP !

Do, or do not, there is no try !

Re: FAT Club !!!

Cheers mate.

Also, it's good to supplement with Omega 3,6 and 9's combo (get them in 1 tub) if you don't eat much fish to get your EFA's in ("Essential Fatty Acids"). You rbody NEEDS them.

Re: FAT Club !!!

Good post Jazzy, im also on a heath kick at the moment. Im a big bloke 6'2 and did weigh in at 149 kilo's at the start of the year. Been watching what I eat and doing cycling at least 3 times a week and am now down to 130 kg. Want to get down to 114 as my first goal. Looking to see if the bike feels quicker when I ride it again

Good work fella. If you can manage to add in some upper body weight sessions (doesn't have to be heavy - can be high rep stuff with lighter weights) you'll burn extra calories for longer.

Re: FAT Club !!!

Weights in general are better for loosing weight. It is a good idea to still have cardio.

Re: FAT Club !!!

Depends on person to person. Some people I know can't shift the fat without the cardio as they'll have to stupidly reduce calories. Calories are burned longer "after" training with weights than cardio. I always recommend a mixture of both. Don't forget the most important muscle is the heart.

Also, weight training will help maintain the muscle you have (with a high protein diet) and make the body burn the fat. The mirror is more reliable at judging changes in body composition than the scales.

Re: FAT Club !!!

I know what you meant mate (good twisted film), but yeah I prefer my answer. Only on Sundays for me as it's "cheat day" where I eat what I like as I train daily.
