Rioting in Budapest

Got these pics from a friend... Haven't had a chance to look for any other info on the web yet.

Quote:
Check out these pix, this is what we're living through here for the past 3
days, people are extremely dissatisfied with the government and are rioting
on the streets by the thousands. Two nights in a row, people are taking to
the streets, burning cars, destroying property, breaking into government
offices, attacking firefighters, Tear gas, 140 cops are wounded, pretty
scary stuff. Just keep us in your prayers.

Re: Rioting in Budapest

Ironic, isn't it? The prime minister berates his party in private for being ineffective and lying to the electorate. He tells them they need to improve their act, or they will lose popular support. Tape of speech is made public and uproar results.

I'd be surprised if a politician didn't lie to the electorate!

PS The socialist prime minister concerned has modelled his party's politics on Tony Blair in the UK.

If people in this country would only be as "interested" in their own government as the people there seem to be. In the U.S. just getting the whole populace out to vote would be a revolution.

I don't get the comparison...
