Diane Sawyer's interview of President Bush

I didn't expect an answer, but thought I'd share my view of last night's interview on PrimeTime.
[not actual quotes]
Diane Sawyer - Mr President, it seems that the majority of Americans feel that the WMD proof was either exagerated or fabricated. Experts are stating there is no such threat, even your own intelligence is proving the non-existance of such claims. Did you exagerate or fabricate the proof of WMD including the supposed nuclear program for the approval to remove Saddam?

President Bush - You see Diane, since the attacks of Sept 11th......
Diane Sawyer -

Diane Sawyer - But Mr. President, back to the question. Did you exagerate or fabricate the proof of WMD including the supposed nuclear program for the approval to remove Saddam?

President Bush - Diane, my job as the President is to protect this nation from hostiles such as Saddam...
Diane Sawyer -

Diane Sawyer - But Mr. President, back to the question. Did you exagerate or fabricate the proof of WMD including the supposed nuclear program for the approval to remove Saddam?
President Bush - Diane, Saddam is a baaaaad man. The things he did to his own people...
Diane Sawyer -

Totally frustrated Diane Sawyer - But Mr. President, back to the question. Did you exagerate or fabricate the proof of WMD including the supposed nuclear program for the approval to remove Saddam?

President Bush - Well...he could have had those weapons

Bravo!

Re: Diane Sawyer's interview of President Bush

Another translation might be...

"Diane, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for WMD truth and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: That Saddam's capture, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me there. We use words like honor, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a woman who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it. I'd prefer you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to."

Diane Sawyer - I WANT THE TRUTH!

President Bush - YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
