sorry ... it is an airconditioner/heat pump that works with no duct work. there is an outside unit and the one that mounts on the wall/ceiling.

some of you may have seen commercials for the mitsubishi model

dude its either an AC or HP, but it can't be both ;)

what do you want to know about em Bub? I have dealt a fair amount with the Sanyo's mostly for server rooms and the like, they seem to be pretty reliable and cheaply as well. Mind you I'm not a fitter, but I play one on TV.

The mitsu's are cool (har har) but are more pricey (then the Sanyo's etc.) I think, but also offer a little more options-wise. York/Carrier/Trane also good, but that goes without $aying.

something i keep seeing is that they will not work if the outside temp is less than 32F. can you confirm/deny that!

Ill ask. Most of the use I see with them for cooling core spaces etc.

Yeah, when sized appropriately ;)

I do think something like this (for the right price) would be a cool solution for home usage. If you had asked a few months ago I could have gotten you a few 'used' ones before the wrecking ball came.
