Squealing Front Brakes
Bike is an '03 954 -- 6700 miles.

I get bad, bad squealing when coming to a stop. Doesn't happen when speeds are above 10mph or so, but during that final slowing, they just hum/squeal until the bike is stopped.

The wear indicators are fine and it looks like there's plenty of meat left on the pads.

Any ideas? :idunno:

Re: Squealing Front Brakes
Pads could be glazed. Also check the rotor and caliper bolts to make sure they're torqued correctly.

Re: Squealing Front Brakes
Smear a little copper grease on the backs of the pads (don't get it on the friction material, disk or rubber seals).

A quick rub over the contact area on the disc with some fine grade wet/dry finishing paper will also help.

BTW, are they EBC pads by any chance ?

Re: Squealing Front Brakes
also can try some hard braking to de glaze the rotors and pads. good advice on the copper grease, and permatex also makes anti-squeal grease which o've had great experience on cages with.
