Im currently restoring a cbr400 nc29 to its former glory.
but having problems trying to find a rear wheel internal spacer that sits inside the wheel between the bearings. (long tube like)
Honda have discontinued them so the only other chance I have is getting a 2nd hand one.

Hi, so this is my first proper bike (obviously excluding scooters and pit bikes).. 1990 Honda CBR400RR (NC23). Picked it up at the start of the year for a grand.
Few little scuffs and nicks here and there but for a 23 year old bike it's a cracker! Started my lessons not long after buying it and...
my headlamp works, the turn signals work (when activated), the brake light works (when brake applied). what DOESN'T work:
speedometer/tachometer illumination, turn signals are not 'always on' (when not activated), the back light.
i checked fuses and obvious connections--seems to be ok.

Just bought a CBR 400R Aero-87, NC23 engine. Vacuum carbs. It won't rev over 8-9k. The vacuum throttles sticks vibrating on 50% open. If I lift them manually i get a smooth 14krpm. Cleaned the carbs, checked the diaphragms and all is fine.
Suggestions on next step? Fuel...
good to know that so many people are out on these cbr 400s! was wondering if some of you could lend a hand to a fellow owner. i have been working on my nc29 for a long time now, this is the situation: replaced battery, spark plugs, oil filter, spark leads, ignition coils, pilot screws...
I bought this bike feb 2010. It was I need of some major tlc. I resprayed it had new decals made and had the engine checked buy a qualified Honda technician (handy having friends like that)
I converted it to suit me ,as I've only got one arm, and have just bought a 954 blade. I'm changing it...
Pretty Standard I Know but its a start.
Started on the 150 then got bored after 4 months and got the 400.
Its an NC 29 but im sure its had some changes as it doesnt look like standard NC 29
Now looking to Upgrade again.
I bought an NC 29 and sadly the worst case scenario has come. My only options according to the mechanic are a gearbox rebuild for £500 or a new engine.
So I am looking for an engine for the CBR 400, NC29. The V5 says it was made in 1999 according to the logbook, but that doesn't seem...
