    When I bought 2007 RR it came with the headers wrapped because the poor quality fairings were melting from the heat. Ive heard it can damage the header over time to have them wrapped. I’m not too worried about moisture retention because I live in the desert where it rains 15 days out of the year...

    Wraped my headers. Used snakeskin header wrap, good upto 2400*F. If anyone has any questions please ask. If you are thinking about doing it I can offer some tips. It took 50 Feet with 50% overlap. My bike does run a few degrees cooler, @ 176*F as apposed to 181*F. It stays ALOT cooler...
