alright, so this oil leak that is underneath my bike hasn't gone away. If anything, it has gotten worse. After a ride, it leaks around 10-15 drops now. the oil is accumulating on the oil pan drain bolt/front lip, but the oil itself seems to be trailing down to there from the left side of the oil pan. Let me try and explain the location better..

On the kickstand side, the oil goes down from the somewhere at the top of the oil pan near the tire side and goes down that curved wall of the pan. It's not from the left side that is closer to the engine. It's right where the sprockets and all that good stuff is. somewhere around where this picture shows..

that's the shifter on the right side.

anyways, it still hasn't been substantial enough to notice a loss of oil. Regardless, I still added like a few pipette's worth of oil back in just to be safe, and the oil level is fine. It was overfilled a LOT when i first got it.
-Could it possibly be that excess chain lube is flinging around all over the place, and is trailing down the oil pan, and then coming off the bolt?? that would be heavenly... I have a justification for that because when I first got the bike, for 2-3 days there was nothing, and then it started..and I sorta remembered lubing the chain right in that period, and ever since then, I've lubed the chain every 250-300 miles out of the 1200 I've put on it this past month, so maybe the oil chain lube has been building up and building up and therefore the puddle has gotten bigger?

I'm selling my bike now :(:(:(:(:( because I just need a car. I can't believe I have to part with such a unique and amazing bike. I want to be able to console the next owner that the leak isn't anything serious at all. And if it needs a full out fix, it wouldn't cost more than 150-300 dollars.

-Oh, for those who aren't familiar with my problem already. I HAVE already changed the drain bolt and crush washer and torqued it properly

also, what else could possibly be leaking (except for the stator cover, because I've checked and it's not that), that could cause oil to accumulate underneath the bike?

Give the whole area a GOOD degreasing and get it as clean as possible. It'll help track down any leak. The water pump O ring is a good suggestion :thumb:

Yeah i just did. I really have scanned the entire bike well, and I haven't been able to find a source of the leak other than where I'm worried about, which is somewhere around the oil pan near the exhaust/tire

Left side of the bike in front of the kickstand.. You'll see it with the hoses.

gotchya. OKay so I had it clean 30 min ago... and this is what it looks like now. In fact, it doesn't even look like it is trailing from anywhere..

water pump looks good, really. that leak is starting there, and i have nooo idea how, i cant see a crack or anything. that guard lip, on the right side is where it's streaming down a bit and accumulating on the edge. maybe there's the most minuscule of hairline cracks...ugh idk
