Ok guys, heres the deal. Moving half way accross the country and getting married is never cheap so its time to sell. Of course I have to give the toys up and she has to give up shopping(yeah right).
It has a clear PA title, and I have it in hand. Check the pics out, this is a very sleek and sexy bike, it gets alot of attention from everyone. The paint is a jet black dupont with a blue pearl undertone meaning in the garage or at night it looks black black but in the sun the blue pearl gives it a navy blue hue. The polishing is a novice job as I did it myself for the first time, but it looks great from a few feet away :)
I am including a scotts dampner, pitbull rear stand, helmet and 2 pair of gloves. It has a scorpion exhaust and the forks have about 2000 miles on them. The front tire has about 80% tread and the rear has about 50%, they are metzler rubber. The bike has been garage kept.
It runs great(very fast) and the tranny is in fine working order. As far as the price is concerned, it is so low due to 2 problems. They are as follows... When going over consecutive bumps or railroad tracks, the bike cuts out. As soon as you turn the bike off then back on, the problem corrects itself. I am assuming it is a short of some sort. Since it started doing this, the tach has stopped working. I dont have the time to go looking for the problem so I figure I will just take a hit on the selling price. Also, a friend told me the cam chain tensioner is a common problem on 929's and 954's, he said it only needs tightened and it is not a hard job at all. It does not have any bearing on power loss or anything. It just causes a rattle during decelleration.
Feel free to ask any questions, but only if you are seriously interested and do not bust my balls on price as I think it is very fair considering blue book value is $5500 as a low end value. E-mail me at [email protected] with the subject heading 954 and I will get back to you asap. I suggest e-mailing me because I can receive my e-mail at work however cannot check other sites so I wont respond as quickly through this site. My zip is 17362 if you need to mapquest it and see how far away you are. Thanks for checking it out.
