I am going on a trip that is roughly 1000 Km and right now I have -1 on the front sprocket. I was just wondering if I can keep the sprocket on there or if I should put the stock one back on.....I assume we will be going average of 150 KM.....is this bad on the bike? Transmission or anything? Or just gas?? If so anyone know how bad on gas this might be....same setup etc?

Thanks

I had a 15 frt on mine for a while and went back to stock. If you're going to be cruising @70 mph or higher for any time you'll be taching 5500 or better. It's just a little too 'busy' for me. I switch back to the 15 for track days. And yes, your milage WILL vary....not in a good way either.

I have a 15-tooth front on mine and don't have any issues with excessive rpm. It's a matter of opinion but the rpms are 'that' much higher than stock. Changing them is fast and easy so it might be worth it just for the extra 2mpg you'll get...........
