Mechanically none. High miles you may have charging system problems but that's it. Mine is an 05 but very similar.

Suspension isn't a problem so to speak but is too soft in the front and too stiff in the rear but that's subjective. Typical Honda.

They do also tend to wear rear tires out fast. :eyebrows:

I thought that was the 2008 that had that problem. For the 2007 (which is the last year of the previous generation of the bike) they pretty much worked all the bugs out. I have not heard any oil burning problem issues from anyone regarding the 2004-2007 bikes.
ive heard abuot 04-07's burning oil now that i think about it... typically if they have less then 500 miles and have sat for a bit. stuck rings if i had a guess..

No problems on 06/07 models.. Honda pretty much perfected that model by 07, the 04/05 models had stator problems but I'm pretty sure Honda worked out that problem for the 06/07 models.. In my opinion to date the 07 is the best overall 1000 Honda has made as far as quality and reliability..

Thanks for the input! its good to know these bikes have no real problems. hopefully that continues with time.

outside of winter this bike wont be sitting. If I own a bike I tend to ride it and ride often :). It will defiantly be hard to wait for spring on this one. probably take advantage of the cold and start my personalizing and tweaking.
