Has anyone done one? If so what parts or what kit did you use?

I tried the Cycle pirates kit and to be honest it was a poor design, poor fitment, not great to look at and actually broke on me. Also tried modifying the stock housing for an R6 thottle tube which worked but the stock cables were too short. Has anyone had any luck with something else?

Also does anyone know the cable lengths on the CBR1000RR or CBR600RR HRC kits?

I did the r6 tube on my f3, the cable was too short also. I had to adjust the cable at the carb as well as the throttle tube and with that, it just made it. Good luck...

I just went from stock to Motion-Pro, haven't ridden this bike with it yet, but it is adjustable, and comes with 4 cams to make a choice from.

Nice, Mike. Did you go with any specific kit? Haven't seen one for the 900 specifically. The cycle pirates one gave me trouble because of the double banjo for my braided lines, the cables really needed an extra inch to be able to clear at full lock. How is the Motion pro?

You can have Motion-Pro make the kit for you, call them and they have one guy who does this all day. They are great to work with, and fast too.

Yeah, i really like the 1/6 turn throttle. I used the HRC one on my RC. So did you just do the R6 tube in an SC28 Housing? did the housing need modification? Any problems with stock cables reaching?

Did it to my RRW, never looked back, it's buried in my project thread somewhere...
Love the fact I can hit full throttle in one wrist movement

gts455 - I suppose you might be sifting through 89's thread already, as I was after reading his post. Check out post #129, pg 9.

89forever - It's Sunday morning, I'm sipping a cup of coffee and reading your build thread. I have to compliment you on your mad skills, especially all the machining you've done and parts you've restored. :thumb:

Ah ok, thanks Jondog. Robbymoto seemed pretty good, i have been looking at them. The motion pro is my first choice as i like the way they route the cables etc. Real nice and clean and keeps the cables away from the fairing.

Just a little update. I spoke with representatives from motionpro and they were willing to do a custom kit for an outstanding price. Cheaper then the other kits. I did not do it though, as it would require me to send in my throttle and cables etc to make the kit. I need the bike ready to go in a few weeks, as it is a daily rider so after researching some other kits (mostly Domino and Robbymoto) i ordered the Robbymoto kit and can say i am extremely happy with it. Very nice looking, took almost no adjustment getting it to clear the fairings and my double banjo on my master cylinder. The quality is excellent, adjustability is excellent, and it is very aparant they actually test fitted the specific kit to the specific bike. Operation is perfect. Install was the easiest i've ever done to include aftermarket and OEM cables and kits. Took about 10 mins with no issues. Further adjustability and throttle plate swaps are actually incredibly easy and fast. 2 minute job, if that. I am extrememly happy.
