Hi Guys, I have 2000 miles on my 08 Blade and getting close to needing new tires.. This is the first time of bike ownership I have gone through a front tire before a rear..
My rear tire looks even wear about 2/3 worn out.. probably another 1000 milles in it at a push... not that I like to wear them completely out.
However I have managed to triangulate the front tire enough that the slow speed steering feels bad... never been through a front in 2000 miles before..is the new blade carrying a lot of front bias..?
Anyway my question is.. should I try a 190/55 rear.. friend has a new R1 and I rode it this last weekend.. it has a lovely feel rolling into corners.. just wondering if that round profile 55 tire is responsible..
Thanks

2K out of a front on the street sounds really low. Since you said triangulated I assume you run the canyons hard a lot. So if my assumption are correct the real answer is to get it set up properly then adjust back to that baseline depending on what tire you are running. I run 50's on my '04 but that is mainly that I am too lazy to adjust things. Further I am not particular enough on the road to adjust tire to tire (I have run a variety on it over the years just to play). On the RC I run Bridgestone slicks and they are the same height across compounds.
