1999 Honda CBR600 Ignition fault

Hi, hope someone out there can give me some help. I have a Honda cbr f4 that has the ignition barrel removed and replaced with an (different) ignition. The motor turns over but not getting any spark. I have tried the 9v battery trick to compensate for the diode in the original ignition barrel and have replaced the ICM with a working on. Getting voltage at the ignition coils and have checked all the fuses and relays. I have run out of options as to what to do next. Does the CBR f4 have an coded key that might be stopping it?
