Hey
I have a 2011 cbr1000rr and I bought one of the cheap integrated tail lights off ebay. I removed my original blinkers and connected the ones in the tail light using the resistor that come with the light to slow down the flashing. I had the blinker going for about 30 seconds and the resistor was already too hot to touch. What does everyone do to stop the resistor melting anything as they are located under the pillion seat?
Thanks

Quickest solution is to change the bulbs to the correct wattage 12v 21w and do away with the resistors if its possible

The LED resistors do generate a considerable amount of heat as it tries to fool the electrics in to thinking its the same original unit and placing the unit close to or in an airflow will help to disperse it, even on a bare metal surface but not wrapped in insulating tape or covered by "spare what ever's " under the seat cover.
