My goal is to have as little down time of my bike as possible. The problem is that driving in 2nd gear is pretty much non-existant, which means depending on rpm and/or load it disengages.
Now I'm looking over the online microfiches to figure out which pieces are involved with engaging 2nd gear and I need confirmation of what I believe to be the parts involved. So if someone can point out, via location #'s, it would be helpful.
This is the microfiche I'm looking at.

That looks tough since the gears aren't named. A shop manual will help you best and since you're doing a teardown, you'll need it anyways.

Make sure you inspect the parts that do the shifting as well like forks, springs and balls, not just the gears involved.
