Well I just installed my third chain.

OEM lasted 20,000 miles.

DID ZVM 530 was just replaced today with 59,000 miles on the bike.

I replaced it with the same setup, DID ZVM 530 gold with AFAM sprockets. The old chain was starting it's death stretch.

You must have really given that baby TLC!! Congratulations!!!
yeah almost sounds as if he treats it too good and needs to beat on the bike more. but it could also be he's meticulous in his maintaince of it and rides exceptionally smooth.

Well "beating on my bike" doesn't sound like a good thing to do with my property. I use the bike daily to commute on. My commute is fairly unusual in that I ride twisty 1-2 lane roads, so a sport bike is a great commute vehicle for me. I can also ride year round.

I don't really know how to say if I'm smooth or not. db's ridden with me, so maybe he knows better. IMHO, riding smoothly is something everyone should at least try to do. I don't do wheelies, stoppies or burnouts - I suck at tricks and don't really see a need to learn 'em.

I clean the chain with Kerosene and use Torco Power Slide chain lube.
