I understand that the 1st and second shifts are kinda clunky and always will be but ever since i switched oil to amsoil motorcycle 10w-40, my shifting has been waaay more clunky.

At a stop i even have a hard time finding neutral, like it keeps going from 1st to second and won't fall into neutral.

I always heard that amsoil is good stuff and it will shift like butter.
should i just switch oil?

I rode my buddies 954 last night which has old ass honda oil in it and it was smooth as silk.

i noticed the same problem when i switched from 15/50 to 10/40,seemed to get worse when city riding, i imagine the 10/40 is too thin.

gonna switch back to 15/50 next oil change

I dunno, I would hate to go to a thicker oil. Maybe i'll go back to mobil 1 mx4t, i don't remember clunking with that oil.
