929 fuel filter replacement

Replacement fuel filter cbr 929

I have gone to change the fuel on my 929 and the only ones im finding for sale are different to the original as the photo shows. The connector is 180 degrees around and its bigger plus the connector nose is shorter .can someone advise me

Does it fit and work?
Is the only issue the obvious change in layout?

No it wont fit in the space as the fixing is round the other way and its to big as well, it seems all for sale in Ebay are the same so not sure where to get one like the original

Look on Partzilla, I think the part you show is a fuel strainer, the actuall filter is a round can with metal fittings, one makes a sharp 90* turn.
Partzilla has diagrams and part numbers that you can google

www.partsfish.com will show you what you need and Honda OE part number. I just thought about that and mines the got the original filter from 2001 - I've never changed it!!

Thats brilliant cheers. Mine was standing for 8 years and im guessing thats howbits got so bad
