So today something happened which I haven't had happen to me before and it was really weird what could it be?

I was downshifting from 5th to 4th.. then I shifted from 4th to 3rd and was going to accelerate faster, the bike revved really high like the bike's throttle was stuck, BUT the bike did not accelerate, like it would have done if it was in 3rd and at about 9-10K RPM... And i know for a fact it was not shifted into neutral by accident...

Does the clutch lever just need to be adjusted, or some kind of maintance issue?

Or is it something more major?? :idunno:

Bike only has 20K miles on it...

False neutrals can happen. Check again see if it always does it. If your clutch is bad you can tell by switching to a high gear at a low speed and accelerating. if it revs higher and doesn't really move it could be your clutch. It is more than likely you hit a false neutral.
