I just installed the 954 throttle bodies on my 929. It ran at idle in N and when I tried to ride it it seemed to get really rich down low (lots of smoke strong gas smell from exhaust) pulled hard in the middle then leaned out really fast. (Oh and it was smoking and gas smell at N also from exhaust) Now it will not start at all I have tried no map, every US 929 map and 954 map you can get from power commander. I am supposed to go get a custom tune but they can't do it if it doesn't run, right? Any ideas? Thanks ahead of time for any help.

I would agree with the others, check the FPR.

Got out today and changed the FPR and still didn't fire up. Checked the plugs and they were fouled big time. They are new iridium plugs so I tried cleaning them before getting new ones, fired up first try.

I tried a zero map and every US 929 and 954 map from powercommanders website. I have been told that all of their maps are rich any way. Those are the only ones I have on my laptop. It sounds like there is alot more power to gained from the bigger throtle bodies sounds a lot more throaty and deep. On a side note I really am thankful for all of your advice bladeracer.

Have you tried actually leaning some of the values off though?

I wouldn't know which way to go if I was to change the values. Is the higher the number the richer it is? or vice versa? I wish I knew more about tuning I would love to try to get it closer to running ok at idle. I could post the map I am running.

Higher numbers are richer, lower are leaner.
