Just switched out the plastics lol thats why im so stumped sure i pulled the wires out a bit in the process but eveything is ok from my point of view and the signals still work I know my mph meter sometimes didnt work friend told me it was a bad sensor that was a few months ago now this xD

when your meter sometimes didnt work did it look like this or do you mean it just gave a wrong indication on speed? you know im not real sure if a display that looks like that is a symptom of the cluster being bad or a wiring problem, or maybe an issue with the ecu? ill let someone with more experience with clocks chime in. i would start by finding the plug pioints on the harness n the back of the clocks n just try making sure they are properly connected n not just a bad connection. seems like its getting power obviously but maybe missing the info it need to get a reading on the other stuff. probably something common like the plug or maybe it is the cluster but like i said id start with checking the connections n wiggling them around n pulling them apart n checking the condition n such

Ok thanks and um it would just stay at 0mph sometimes thought it was the speed sensor since it would start working on its own sometimes. the bike starts just fine and no error codes so im guessing it might be as u say a bad connection somewhere checked the plug and pins everything looks great im gonna start now with a multimeter see if im getting any voltage to all the wires gonna see if i can find wich wire does what and check those directly lol thanks for your help!

I had the same symptoms on my bike.
Either the R/R is bad or the strator is out in my specific instance because after 2-3 days of riding my battery will be drained. I'll know when my battery is too low to turn off and start the bike again because the speedo will go blank like this any time I pull in the clutch.

Does your bike start right up?
Have you tried putting the battery on a battery tender? Mine lets me know if the battery is below, on, or over 80% charged.

Its not the charging system.... :( I'm starting to think its the dash lol wouldnt know how to test to see if its an ecu prob. Wish I knew someone with another 929 then I could just test his out on mine and start getting rid or possibilities xD

There's a relatively common, but not well know fault with the 929 clocks.

The EPROM chip can become corrupt which causes all the the symptoms you have described.

Here in the UK there are a few company's with the set up to reflash the EPROM in the 929 clocks, I'm not sure whats available where you are.

I know it's not a huge help but gives you a direction to go.

For anyone in the UK reading this and having these issues, theres a company in Kings Lynn called Scorpio Electronics that can reflash the clocks.

May sound really silly, but when messing with the turn signal wiring (installing flush mounts etc), it is very easy to blow the 10A gauge cluster fuse. Everything will still work except the tach/digital readout. The turn signal/high beam lights will still work.

Verify that all of your front turn signal wires are soldered/wrapped up nicely and check/replace the 10A fuse under your seat. Its the 3rd one from the top.

**edit: just read your post again where you said you checked the fuses. Since you have a multi-meter now, triple-verify that they are ok. I have had fuses looked fine and be blown before.

I know it has been a long time but i wondered if you found a solution for your issue? As i am currently having the same problem with my 929 trackbike. Hope to hear from you.
