On the 93-97 900rr they are identical, but in 98-99 they are a different part. Some models may fit others, but not all honda sportbikes use the same gas cap even though they all look the same from the top side.

I got different part #'s from Bike Bandit for the '98 900rr and the 954, but I do remember someone saying that the would bolt up.
Got this bike in a trade . It has 6k miles . I’m trying to get a newer bike and doubt I’ll enjoy riding it like I would a newer 1000. Should waste time cleaning it up and trying to get better value or just sell it as is and get what I really want ?
Got delivery this morning, not an absolute gem , but as far as I concerned a cracker , get rid of those plastics (previous owner hit a pheasant), runs sweet as a nut , but will get to grips with the rest:D
