anyone ever replace the oil seal on the shift selector shaft? cant find it anywhere in the FSM. its on an 02 954. any input would greatly appreciated.

can it be removed like a regular lip seal i.e. a main seal on an automobile engine? or does the whole shaft come out. the retaining fork kinda threw me. no info at all on it in the fsm.

The retainer indicates that it is not lipped so you can pull it out and replace it with no problems.
