Discussion Starter #1
Hello to all and thank you for checking out this post. I am currently working on a 2003 954rr and it died out on me. :crying: I was riding it a couple of weeks ago and it was doing fine. Then one day I went to start it and she did nothing. The headlights and gauges worked fine and the fuel pump whined like it should but it wouldn't start, wouldn't fire or turn over nothing at all. So I checked the ignition switch and there is nothing wrong with it. I also tested the starter relay and it is just fine. I think that my next step is the actual starter motor itself. Can anyone help me with some advice and help me with a step by step on removing a starter motor. Never done that one before. :idunno: All the help I can get would be great. Thanks everyone.

You can check the starter simply by connecting it directly to 12V power.
Don't even need to remove it.
Check the kickstand and clutch switches.
