spun a bearing and would like to know what the biggest motor I can put in this bike . Tore motor down to put new shifting forks in and found bad bearing in the center really don't wont to spend 1200. on a new crank. I fond a 98 motor with 970 kit for 1400. but its on ebay and don't know the people. Any help would be great !

You mean bolt in? You can get an older motor (893) and take it out to a 1033 (75mm pistons). But it won't last a week riding it on the street. A 970 would probably be fairly dependable for normal riding. It's a 919 bored 2mm. If you decide to do it to yours, factor in extra cost for replating cylinders (one reason I like the 893 blocks). So you have a couple of choices for dependability, a 945 or the 970.
