Another winter project 954 cam or cams in a 929

As far as I'm aware it's a simple bolt-in swap but you'd expect to have to re-shim the valve clearances.
I like the 954 throttle bodies but I swapped exhaust systems at the same time I swapped the throttle bodies so I can't tell you exactly how much difference they make on their own.

I've just purchashed 954 throttle bodies to swap. Should I change both intake and exhaust cams? or just the intake?

Entirely up to you, if you have both change both.
929 IN is 36.60mm, EX is 36.20mm.
954 IN is 36.86mm, EX is 36.57mm.
Grind tolerances are within +/- 0.12mm so if you have a selection to choose from measure them all up (including your own) and buy whichever are bigger. It's possible you could have a 36.72mm 929 IN cam now and could buy a _new_ 954 IN cam that's only 36.74mm which would be a pain
I've _heard_ about people running the IN cam on the EX side but it's never been explained how they get the cam sensor to work.
I have spare 929 and 954 cams here but I've never graphed them to see if their curves are similar.
