Years ago I saw a backpack looking unit with what looked like handles at about middle of the riders back, which a child could hold onto.Does anyone know what I am talking about. The proper name or web site so I could try to find this as I have 3 boys now who can reach the foot pegs, but I get freaked out cause my jacket is so tight they feel like they are slipping

:plus1: , and this is the best solution for feeling safe with your little loved ones. A backpack could easily move about without a waist restraint, and I haven't seen one with a waist restraint and handles. Go for the buddybelt.:twocents:

anyone know the miminum age for a passanger?
It may vary depending on your state. A good place to start is to go to the AMA website and look up the different bike requirements that they list by state. That info may be there.

Mine doesn't have handles, but it does have waist and chest belts. It does have a large center clip that someone could hang on to though, not to mention the flaps for the side pockets. It's held up to every type of riding I've thrown at it, and a bonus is the inner compartment is waterproof. Triumph makes some really good riding gear, this is their waterproof backpack. I don't use tankbags or tailpacks anymore.
