I bought some aluminum Bar weights for my handle bars. They stick out further than stock. I needed to replace them because one of mine was damaged when the bike went down. I was told I had to take a hammer and punch and pound the original threaded pieces down the pipe and the new ones have a piece of rubber that expands when I tighten them down. I tried to pound one down and it will not budge:huh: . Was I mislead or do i need to hammer on it some more:idunno: . I don't like the Idea:thumbd: . Can I drill the stock piece out? or is there an easier way?

Thanks

I would suggest sticking with the stock bar ends since they're heavier and reduce bar vibration.

But, if you must, there's a clip you need to remove at the end of the bar, then you can thread the old bolt into it and yank it out with something.
