Ok so i am a new rider, though i have had some ideas around riding a motorcycle but none about fixing them. So i thought i should get one for myself.

So i went ahead and bought myself a 2017 Honda rebel 500 from an old veteran which was rode only 1400ish miles. He said he did the regular oil changes and the oil looked clean. I rode the bike and it was smooth as new, even my friend did it.

Later we stored it and the next morning when i started it , it gave off a cloud of white smoke. I thought it was just condesation and rode it like a mile. Later in the day i went to fill up the gas and on the way back my friend kept telling me about the light smoke he saw. Later in the night i start it at neutral and there a cloud of smoke making its way out.

I see the coolant levels were low on the resovior tank too but the light never came on. Today i thought maybe it was the air filter but it looks pretty okay. i put it back and the white smoke is still there but the engine want to die as soon as i rev it even a little.

Later i tried starting it to hear for any engine noises but now it wont even come on, all i hear is the started motor cranking and white smoke.

looked at forums and all i see is head gasket or spark plug or idk what. Now i don't believe that old man blew the head gasket out, yet i am very confused and having a bad time. I am pulling it to the mechanic tommorow, and i have no idea on how much is it going to cost. I am a noob and its easy to scam me of course, plus i thought i bought it in a deal , but for now it looks like pretty done for .

if anyone has any idea, even the slightest of it , i would love to hear it.
