Yes, goto a doctor.

If you have headaches like that, something is wrong.

Common headache creators, high blood pressure, too much caffeine, eye trouble, tooth trouble, etc etc.

I take excedrin for my headaches - mild to near migraine level.
My wife gets frequent migraines and takes Imitrex. It works wonders, but the cost isn't pretty.

I used to get headaches after every trackday, and still don't know why.

Excedrin, a cocktail of aspirin and Tylenol (acetaminophen) was my cure of choice, but just pay attention to the fact it's loaded with caffeine.

Thanks guys, I think I'll try getting some Excedrin. Its not a normal thing for me... I rarely get headaches... If it doesn't get better soon I will plan to go see a Dr.

Same boat. Although, I've found that Excedrin Migraine is the best for most of my migraine pains. I've suffered with Migraines sine I was kid, so for the past 20-25 years I've been trying to fins something that works. I have mild to moderate migraines twice a week and severe migraines (can't get out of bed) 2-3 times a month.

I went to the doctor and we went through spectrum of stuff, from Imitrex to Vicodin. MRI's and CT's scans... turns out that the best thing to take is a daily beta blocker and Excedrin for the headaches that come after. I take Toproxl XL 50mg as my daily beta blocker and I haven't had a migraine in about 6 months. Which for me is like a new lease on life. There wasn't a day that went by for nearly 20 years that I didn't have some sort of headache, now I don't have to worry and I live without the pain.

So go to the Dr. Don't be bashful. You may have either Cluster Headaches (more prevelant in men) or Migraines. I feel for you. But when diagnosing a chronic illness like a presistant headaches, you may have to take a lot of medicines before you find the one that works for you. Good luck

I have cluster headaches often...it's called a wife and two kids.

Aleve worked well for me, but gave me terrible heart burn (did the same to my b-inlaw). I just use generic Ibuprofen.

LTL, if it's the hot days at the track...take a potassium pill in the morning and one at lunch along with your high usual water/sportsdrink intake. I'd always have a headache at about 1-2pm during the summer months no matter how much gatorade and water I drank. I never have a problem with this now after doing the potassium thing.

That's right, we've talked about potassium. I'll try to remember to try that before the next one.

Bananas have always been a trackday breakfast for me...but maybe they weren't enough.

I pretty much always make sure to put down at least a gallon of fluid at a trackday...

I haven't had a headache after a trackday since I've restarted...but it hasn't really been hot any of the 5 days I've ridden either.

I got you beat... :D

You can't complain when you only have one kid at a time...

Before I took a leave of absense from trackdays, the potassium pill trick worked like a charm. I would also chew a piece of gum during the sessions to keep my mouth from drying up.

I get bad migranes. This is what helps me;
(2) 800mg motrin
(2) Benidryl (sp?) GREEN label NOT PINK label
(1/2) reg strength Vicodin (I break them in half)
If it doesn't get better in one hour I repeat but also add (1) 50mg Imitrex.

I don't like taking them because they do some really weird stuff to me. But hey, if you really suffer from migranes (not simply a headache), you don't care what it takes, you just want it gone.

when I was a kid I would get headaches all the time. Tylenol stopped working in 3rd grade. not sure if its coincidence but after this really fucking annoying girl moved away in elementary school they got a lot less frequent. getting rid of the cause :thumb:

but I still get headaches every so often and usually Aleve works great. for bad headaches Orudis (ketoprofen) worked wonders. That shit even made short work of migraines.

remember everyone is different so you might have to try many different things before finding something that works. and when you find something that works try to take as little as possible to get teh job done. you don't want to build up an immunity to it.
