I've run both the Yosh & Taylormade. The TM exhaust is by far the best looking pipe you can get for new 1000RR.
The Yosh had a bit more grunt (based on my ass dyno), but the TM performs just fine by me.

Hi Fishboy... stunning looking CBR... unusual color too. You are right about the TM it looks the bollocks no doubt about it... I have been led to believe it is a very loud system with no Db killer if you need to.. is that what you have found..? Is it any lighter than the stock pipe as it looks to have quite a bit of engineering in it...
Love the Ohlins by the way.... I used to run a Duc 999s with Ohlins and the ride quality was very nice... I like the way the CBR handles much better but talk about harsh ride.. a good bump will have you out the seat, something I never experienced with the Ohlins 999....
Thanks man.

The TM is a tad loud, but not much more than the Yosh R-77.
They all really scream above say 7000rpm.

I spoke to the folks @ TM and they're working on a baffle as we speak...maybe a few months away, they didn't give a ready date.

The TM is about 9 lbs lighter than the stock can. The performance increase isn't huge, maybe 5-6hp low-mid range, but hey, the CBR don't need much help in that dept. Which ever pipe you go with, you'll be wanting to add a Power Commander & IRU unit from DynoJet...makes all the difference in the world performance wise.

You think the Fireblade has a harsher ride around town than the Duc?
I find the CBR to be the most ergonomically friendly of the liter bikes, but I've not ridden them all.
With the Ohlins adjustability, a comfortable "street" setting is just a few clicks away.

Cheers
