Anyone share their experiences with tyres for 2004 rr4 Blades?

I ride about 7000 / 8000 miles per year mostly on British roads but with the odd european trip. I also do the odd trackday (about 1 or 2 each year).

Want something fairly sticky but that will also last me about a year.

Cheers

So you want something sticky to last 8k miles? Don’t we all!!!

Michelin PR2/PR3 will last the longest and are not that sticky but good in the wet.

Metzeler Racetech are nice track tyres but wont last half as long as the Michelins.

Never had ANY issues with Pilot Power 2CT. Road 3's would also be a great choice. Make sure you get the 190/55 for the back :thumb:

I've got a 954 and rear Mich Pilot Power 2ct got me about 4500 miles. Pilot Road 2 on normal country roads (i don't do dual/highways) I got 8000 miles, so well pleased with it and replaced it this year with the same.
As Sky sez there is a new Pilot Road 3 - so should have a harder centre? so will try them next if they get good reviews.

I've managed around 2000 miles so far on my Pilot Power 3's and they show almost no sign of wear.... That being said, I got them right at the start of the cold season and haven't really been pushing them.

The roommate just picked up the Road 3's for his ZX-14, I think he's 500 miles into them and they literally look like they were just mounted (kinda were I guess). Not bad on the sticky side either as he's gotten it pretty much edge to edge already!

Just a couple thoughts. I'd say my PP3s are noticeably stickier than his PR3s and heat up much faster, but his will likely outlive mine...
