OK so I am probably going to pull the drive I used for the DVD project and store it. I am thinking putting it in one of those anti-static bags. Any other ideas for storing a disk long term outside the computer?

I like a waterproof safe , kept in a constant temperature environment, with a cup of silica gel inside or some type of dehumidification product. Just be sure to change it, but if its watertight, you should be ok with just the initial silica packets or whatever.

Then again, I'm anal retentive.

You're on the right track Sheep. As an I.T. dude for some years - I would go with the Static bag. Throw one of those moisture packets in there just in case. If you can't seal the static bag, fold it over and tape it good. Store it in a cool place like a closet or a safe. It should last for a VERY long time. :thumb:
