Hey ladies and gentes. So I recently bought a 929 rr from an owner who bought it brand new 2001 . I got it with 26,000 miles and it felt like it run fine. I’m also new to riding so don’t have much to compare it too. Anyways, after first few times riding the bike left me stranded after an hour or so ride or I would get back home and turn it off and try to fire it up and nothing (sounds like something is clicking fast). So I changed the battery I also did oil change plugs coil coolant flush. And I searched online that it was probably the stator so I replaced it with a part from eBay and it still wasn’t fixed. Also the previous owner had a lot of hack job wiring when he installed a remote back seat lack that connected straight to the battery. And fronts are hid and I’m buying leds because that might be it. But I still don’t know what to do please help:)

If you already replaced the stator, then replace your rectifier regulator it is back there at the rear seat also and I would check the wires around it they may have been hacked into. If you’re lucky you haven’t ruined your battery yet. The bike is dying because the charging system is not working and it is running off of the battery volts only eventually it completely dies when it kills your battery see what I mean.

Yep, sounds like the reg/rec is gone as well. Look at all your grounds and charging system related connectors. Make sure they’re not toasty. The ground block connector up by the speedo can also get hot and melt.
