I am just wondering about how to check the break fluid. i know the back brake is ok but on the front brake should i turn the handlebars to check it? leave them strait? put the bike on the kickstand? pull it up level? im just not sure how to tell if its actually full or not.

on its stand, turn the bars to level it up and take the top off. put a cloth over the bike incase you splash any fluid. or you could try looking in the window, a low level could mean worn out pads. the level will rise with new ones fitted, so if it needs them fit them before topping up.

Whether you need new pads or not, you might as well change out the brake fluid one time - unless you remember when you last changed it - you should change every year as the fluid is hygroscopic - picks up moisture from the air - and that eventually finds it way to the wheel cylinders and can freeze them up.
