my 1st cbr 954rr i bought from a one owner with 13k on it well its a few years later and ive hit 44k so i decided it was time for a little sprucing up.i put the fairings and tank onto my other 954 so i could keep riding of course, and slowly but surly ive manged to get it takin apart. also do all my own powdercoating. heres a few pics so far enjoy :smilebig:

my 1st thoughts were rc51 sp2 5 spokes the rear swaps straight on the front will with minor modification. after lookin around i think am going to do the sssa swap from a vfr 800

hummm, I would say do the Rc51 wheels front and back, not the VFR swingarm on the back and vfr wheel! the wheel and swingarm is not light at all! you will be adding pounds to the bike... plus you need to grind at stuff to get the VFR swingarm to fit!!!
plus the 954 swingarm looks cool! if you get a GP exhaust is really looks good! then again, the VFR swingarm dose look sweet with a GP or under tail exhaust too:idunno::rotfl::D

all that being said! I'm putting a VFR swingarm on my 900rr, but not my 929 it's got a 954 swingarm!

lol dont really care about the weight grinding is minimual so am not to worried. the 954 swingarm is stock every 954 has one, tryin to build somthing sum what unique. the vfr swap looks sick espcially with a 4x100 car rim and a 240 tire thinkin of doin the rc51 5spoke on the front :thumb: agreed on the undertail exhaust

yea, it dose look sick like that!!!! doing my 900rr like that, the GP exhaust makes it look sick!!!!!!!!!!!

use your RC51 wheel on the front thou, looks better with the car wheel!

lol i feel ya on bein broke part forsure. the gp style pipes are sick u guys ever get pulled over for runin them? says there no louder then any other system thats crazy.
sick right! don't think it would get you pulled over just for that, they would need to be looking really close... I'm sure it's louder then most system! so they may hear you:idunno::rotfl::crap:

the end result on how much we shaved off just did it little by litte till it fit perfect. droped the pviot bolt off at the machine shop t have the selves made, hopein to have it back in a day or two.

Keep us up to date one this! I am actually looking for a decent 954 right now. Been a while since I had a bike, my last one being an '08 600RR (seemed slow to me). I am looking at a higher-mileage one right now (31k), that I figure will need to be re-done soon enough, so your post certainly has my eye.
