Is it easy to replace the air filter on a Fireblade 1000rr (2005 model).Do you just take off the plastic tank cover and then the air filter cover? Are there two air filters on this model? any advice would be much appreciated.

You are correct on all. Two cylindrical filters under the cover. To remove the shelter, you must remove the seat which has two fasteners under the back corners when you pull them back a bit. Just lots of screws on the housing cover. Also remove the temp sensor connector on the cover. Clean well and be sure the filters are seated properly.
