Replaced the front brake lever and now it sticks on...any thoughts?

It is an OEM lever for an 02 954. I just pulled the pin on the old one and replaced it. Now, when squeezed it does not return to the position before being squeezed and the brake is on when I let go of the lever.

The lever works as is. It doesn't work the same as the old one by staying on and having to pull it back out to pre-pull position.

I will try loosening the pin some more. I'm wondering if lubrication is the issue?
