I am sure this has done the rounds time and time again.

Anybody got any knowledge on a genuine non flick quality chain lube, I have tried a few and get crap everywhere. Took it to the dealers a the end of Oct for a service and he lube'd the chain (asked him not to:nono: ) and its taken forever to clean the bike from the ride home:thumbd: .

Cheers:thumb:

If you are not happy with whats been applied then wash off using paraffin. It's a messy job and you have to wait until the paraffin has fully evaporated as it will dissolve anything you re-apply and make a horrendous mess!
I use Castrol chain wax it goes on thin to spread then dries to a waxy coating. It's best to lube the chain after a ride so it gives time to set into sticky wax before the next ride.
I tried Honda Dry Chain Lube, it didn't fling but seemed so dry that the chain rattled.
I've tried Mr.Sheen etc. but the best grease dissolver is WD 40 it is fantastic for wheels and swing arm (but don't use it on chain O ring rubber).

The only ones I have experience that don't make a mess are Profi dry lube and Wurth dry chain lubricant.
Profi is lighter than Wurth so need more regular application
I tend to use Profi on a clean chain & top it up with wurth after the first ride:)
