i know one of you guys has a really good place to grab tires at a great price, chime in here if you don't mind.I'm currently running a pirelli diablo on the back and it's needing replacement. There was a guy telling me about a place that had a one time sale going on a set of Pilot powers for like $140, i should have grabbed them when i heard about it, what a deal right...anyway, cheapest i found was around $130 for a pirelli 190/50/17 - anyone have a better place they found ? will go with the Pilots if i can find em cheap enough..F*cking oil just went over $91 a barrel today ( a new record) ! so i'm trying to watch my $$...As i'm sure many of us are here also....Thanks

anybody use those 'tomahawk' brand of tires ? They are a type of high tech retread ,sounds scary to put on a bike, but they are supposed to be rated for 149 mph

how did you manage that deal ? I just priced the qualifiers for $168, for just the rear 190/50/17 tire by itself on cyclegear.com ,never mind the front.

i walked in and they had a deal going.... so i bought them:rotfl:

seriously they had a sale, but it wasnt posted on line. dont know if you've dealt with them before but they WANT your buisness, atleast the one near me. they go out of their way to help me. look around for deals, i always see a powers combo sale in the magazines. might not hurt to call or go buy cyclegear. please what ever you do dont get the hawks or the shinkos, those things scare me :crying:

Please do tell more about the shinkos. I replaced my rear with a 190 shinko and I like it so far.

I've only put maybe 175 miles on it so I havnt went too hard as I wanted to wear into the tire before gettin on it through the turns. Your making me second guess my tire choice. My buddy said its all he'll run on his R1.
