Hey y'all,
Just thought I'd let you know how great the guys are over at M4 exhaust here in Dallas. I have an Arata pipe on my 929, but the canister band broke and then the hanger that goes on the subframe almost tore in half- yeah and the bike has never been down or had anything that should make that happen. Well, guess what?- Arata won't warranty their supposedly superior $1000 + exhaust system and wanted $110 for a new hanger and band! You would think they wouldn't want to piss off a dealership that sells their pipe?

Well, the guys at M4 not only TIG welded my bracket back up for me and hooked me up with a new canister band, but they did it all for FREE! My dealership that I just started working at does a lot of business with them, and now I can see why. They said that if any of their exhausts had done that, they would have WARRANTIED IT- NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

In conclusion, here's a big :thumb: to M4 and and a big F*@K YOU TO ARATA! Superior quaility product my ass!

So, when you're looking for a new exhaust, I suggest you check out M4. Sorry for the rant!

I had that happen once on my bike and TWO BROTHERS sent me the clamp rubber strap and bolts for free (and a couple of new decals). I guess it helped when I stated that my 3 bikes have 2 bros pipes.

Arata makes a great product, but I think they made some bad decisions around their US distribution. Too bad.

M4 seems to sell lots of pipes to club racers, so I'm guessing they normally have good support.

This type of attitude seems to be all to familiar in the industry. I've had the same issues with Micron. Clamp broke due to regular use, and the Micron emblem even came off. Asked them to replace, and they wanted to charge for each one. What I didn't understand is why the wouldn't even replace the emblem - free advertising for them. I just made my own and stuck it on there "Amish Roadracing." Now onto Arata, and have been lucky thus far....

Good to hear, I'll keep that in mind next time I buy an exhaust. I say we rally for an ass load of replies on this thread and when it's finished you can show Arata how many customers they may or may not have lost. This kind of customer service really pisses me off. A company should stand behind their product at all costs.

as long as you have your bike properly tuned with any exhaust they will come out pretty close. maybe 1-2 rwhp difference. its all about the maps in the computer, air filters run and all. but the big difference is not actual which one can make the most hp but which one has the smoothest curve... there are lots of other factors that one must include also.
