Hi all.

My name is Magnus and i am from Sweden. Made this autumn comeback on a bike again.
Have before ride a CBR919RR from 96 and a CBR929RR from 00.
Now i bought a CBR954RR from 02 that will be used mostly for Track Days.
Owner before me has put Öhlins springs in front fork and changed back to complete Nitron shocks.
Other things is Acrapovic exhaust and chrash pucks.
Have only one thing to fix and that is turn signals that not want to work okey.
Waiting for sun to take her out again.

Hi Magnus and welcome.

I also have a 954. Great bike.

Share the problem of your turn signals and we might be able to diagnose and help.:wink

Fair chance that if it’s not the flasher relay then the switch will have corroded contact. Can be stripped down and cleaned with fairly basic skills. My 929 suffered the same but right turn only!

I have open switch and made it clean two times. Left works but not right.
I can make right works if i push several times. Maybe change whole switch or try one more time cleaning it and hope for the best.
If it is the relay is it possible to change?

It’ll be quicker to change the whole switch, they’re not expensive used and it just plugs in, easy swap.

Have looked on Ebay but everything looks crappy sadly.
Do you know if you can order standard from Honda?

I have always used Castrol Power1 10w40 4T in my bikes. I ran a 929 as a track bike for about 5 years, annual servicing, 10 track days a year and the engine didn't consume oil (i.e. no visible oil level drop) ...er.... except for the crash at Rockingham where I cracked the engine cover :frown.

I looked at that oil and will buy it for this season.
