very nice. Good subject matter. Whats with the 'tilt' on some of the pics though? Is that intentional?

I've noticed some people who intentionaly tilt the angles of their pictures. I dont like it that much...

We were in the helicopter and the pilot was doing all the tilting. It was a wild ride.

I sometimes add tilt to my photos for variety though.

figment : I want to do some night pictures. I hope mine look as good as yours...
All you need is a good steady support.

I took this one by placing the camera on the railing off the Veranda deck of the ship. It was an 8 second exposure.

Here's one from the Dominican Republic....I didn't take many there as I refused to take my camera onto the island with me.

And here's a map of where our cruise took us.

A couple of questions:

- did you have the urge to stick your knee out in the heli?

- which pic is of Nemo?

Some very nice pics. I bet even your boss would agree that you've earned it

1. Why, yes. YES I did! Unfortunately, the doors were an issue.

2. I only saw one Nemo and he was too quick for me to get a pic of.

Nah, I had to tell him I'd quit if he didn't let me go. And if he really thought that way he'd give me tomorrow off as well to relax and recuperate.

Nate, are you reading this?

I rented a Canon G2 fitted with an underwater housing from an underwater photography shop that is local to me. They made me a deal (tis good being a firefighter) and it only cost me $25 for the week.
It worked very well and I'm surprised at how good the clarity is. My only complaint is that the shutter lag was terrible and it was very difficult for me to actually compose my shots...there was a lot of guess work involved.
One of these days when I'm rich I'll by an enclosure for the 10D They're only about $3000 or so.

EDIT: Oh yeah. Yes, we had an excellent time! This was my first cruise and let me tell ya....they treat you like a king on the ship. Food anywhere, anytime, any quanity. I was eating 2-3 entrees at dinner....5 star restaurant stuff too. Vegas and Broadway style shows every night, pools, waterslide, hot tubs, massages, room service, casino, video games, movies, etc etc. If you've never been on one you have to go sometime.
