Hi Folks,

I saw some fairing kits for various models of sportsbikes including blades (all years) on ebay. Description says they are made in Hong Kong or China, from quality ABS and sprayed or ready to install with some racing style decal kits on them.

The prices vary between 150 to 300 pounds + shipping (which basically doubles the price :) )

I'm considering to buy one set for track days. But I can not trust them. :idunno:Have any of you tried one?

I bought some from an Ebay store in the US....

They look greaty, they fit and the paintwork is better than it should be for the money.

The place I dealt with lists the item location as Englewood, colorado.

Got the plastics in 3 weeks, no broken parts, credit card wasn't charged until they were shipped.

Here's one of my blades'

Naja endlich eine schöne Nachricht :)

Actually I'm not a RedBull fan but the bike looks gorgeous. Thanks for the advice. I will search for this seller and check what he got for SC57.

Yea, RedBull only contributes around $300 million a year to motorcycle racing alone, which in turn leads to manufacturers developing parts that eventually make it onto our street bikes. why should we like that....

I seen them on ebay and they look great but Im just not sure about getting them from Hong Kong or anywhere else that far away. I would rather pay the extra money from some known dealer here in the states and atleast have a chance of getting re-enburst if something went wrong during shipping. Or maybe just not recieve it at all, which is a good possibility. jmo!

I just got a set from Auctmarts in matte black for my 08 1000RR.
$610 including shipping
**Does not come with heat shield lining...you MUST install heat shield lining on anything near engine, or it's gonna melt** Any good adhesive back heat shield will do.

Took 2 weeks to arrive (Los Angeles, CA.) after ordering. I'm trying to get it installed before the Christmas, but not likely. Will post pics.

What I can say so far...everything looks great, nothing broken (well packed). Came with rear seat cowl & dark smoke windscreen included.

I ordered through ***********, not Ebay...but it's the same people.
I dealt with a guy going by the name PT. Excellent communication. Answered emails quickly, and his english isn't too bad either.

A buddy of mine ordered some fairings off ebay from hong kong for his R1, the bike looks good from across the parking lot, but when your up close the lines are all wrong!

Just an FYI

speak for your buddies plastic... the pic of mine is large enough to see the details... the "lines" are not off....

just like not all sushi is created equal, for aftermarket plastic you have to know where to shop....
