So last night I turned on the tube (raining out) and stopped on my good friend the discovery channel! So it all started out with riding lawnmower racing...OMG...I cracked up the whole time. Next we moved on to Choppers (orange County Choppers)The page for them and checked that out...some kick ass bikes let me tell you...I was drooling all over the bikes they were making, and I am not a big chopper fan, but I really have respect for these guys. After that it was Monster Garage, where Jesse James and a crew created a Snowmobile out of a new Mini. It was pretty wild. When I mean new..it was new...direct and free donated from mini. Then they went on to race Richard Petty...it was pretty funny! Did anyone else catch any of those shows??

I think last nights American Choppers episode was the BEST by far. You really got to see and understand where they came from and who they are (first half of show). Plus giving Cody that opportunity is incredible, I couldn't imagine being that age and having something like that in front of me. Awesome show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I only watched part of Monster Garage.

exactly, thats what I am talking about. They have made it! and they have overcome many things! Allowing Cody to go with 'it' last night was wild, and the way they brought him to Daytona was killer! I am very impressed with them!

Yeah. Even the wife seems to enjoy (or tolerate and find interesting) the American Chopper show. Those guys are nutz. I mean the dad is such an ass and his son is so freaking creative! Yeah. I'm not at all into those types of bikes but man.. I really, REALY respect the time and engergy and creativity Paul exhibits.

The old man is a crackup too. I know a guy who is a painter from high school and he looks so much like him (except younger), hair color, size, demeano... even the voice! Ha! Maybe that's why I find it so funny because that dude is a total crackup!!

Digressing.. yeah.. I watch those shows just about any week. And as a business man I really respect the fact they can pull in $150k in 6 weeks on a custom bike.

And of course.. the babes too..... almost made me want to get some Trim-Spa!

Yeah, I've got a friend that totally reminds me of the dad on American Chopper - big, burly guy with a huge mustache and booming voice. He's just not quite as angry as the dude on TV. And Junior has some great talent. Like some of you, even though I'm not a chopper fan, I really appreciate their talent.

American chopper is a great show! I gotta give a shout out to OCC, they make some wicked bikes! Watching father and son go at it is funny....

I believe at least some of Paulie Senior's anger, heated exchanges with his son, and occasional throwing of heavy objects from one end of the garage to the other is contrived... feigned for the show.

Still, I'd want some backup before I phucked with him.

I dunno, I don't see Sr. up for an Oscar. I think it's all real

Great shows, the lot of them. It'd be nice if they also tossed in some sportbike, WRC, and F1 shows, but that ain't gonna happen...

Chain : It's television. I'd bet my last dollar some of the 'fights' are scripted by the show's producers.
That's a bet, but seeing that you're broke from modding the fiddy...

Not broke, actually. In fact, I'm money ahead from where I was before the 'fire sale' a few weeks ago. How? The M4 was cheaper than the Akro it replaced; I bought the Corbin used, for a song; I'm not replacing the SCOTTS (and I pocketed in the mid 300's on its sale); etc.

backatcha!

...oh, my bad, I should've mentioned that 'modding the fiddy' also included the expensive therapy that allowed you to see more than just shades of gray. You can run but you can't hide from your monochromatic past, Chain but I'm glad all that hard, hard work in the Dr.'s office has paid off
