They are talking about if you are on the track and you lowside, it will only slide in the cage and save the whole side of your bike! I think they are a great idea, and I may get one for my erion just incase something happens. It would look all black with the eion frame and such!
Those things are so stupid.
I have a friend, a really decent guy, that races MX.
Anyhow, he got a 954 just for SQUIDDING!
He bought that cage thing. When I first saw it I busted up laughing, then he says, no look it works.
He walked over to his bike and kicked the tank throughing the bike to its side.
I couldn't believe he did that to a NEW 8K bike!
He also has the wheelie bar thing, in which he can 'park' his bike at a 90* angle.
He has a screw loose, but also only f's off in a few outta the way parking lots now.
He is wising up to wanting to keep his license.
Reminds me on a 'Track Bar' ( an optional) that went on Yamaha FZ750 bikes back in '84-87, but of a one piece of thick flat bar that did not protude out like the above & was not in 3 pieces.
This is rather extreme one must admit.
