Hi fellow honda riders!

I need to drop the front of the engine 1-2cm to remove a water hose connection. In all wisdom the upper bolt for the connection is behind the frame :D

I hope somebody would have experience if I need to remove the throttle bodies to drop the engine?

My plan was to leave the back connection bolt (thru the swing arm) and remove all other frame bolts and gently lower the engine with a hydraulic jack underneath the oil pan.

I have removed the following:
  • exhaust manifold
  • gas tank
  • air filter housing
  • air intake on top of the valve cover
  • radiator

Thanks in advance

Wish I could help. But at least I could give your post a bump.

To answer my own question, you do not have to pull the throttle bodies to tilt the engine.

Just remember to loosen the chain. I spent a good 30mins cursing at the bike and wondering why it won't drop low enough.
