Ok i have remived the engine/trans combo and it is on the bench. I am trying to remove the staked nut under the clutch springs. It is neither a 26 MM (too small) or a 27MM (it can rock back and forth on it).
As it is a staked nut and I must use an impact gun to remove I would like to so it without the risk of rounding it off! Any idea what size it really is and how to remove? THanks

RIght church, wrong pew. It is the right nut according to the breakdown but the nut onthe shaft is much bigger. The serial number on the side of the case is RC44E6372713. I wonder if VT750DCA would make a difference?

Actually I used the web address you included to search for it myself. It is the right nut but a 26 MM socket will not fit over it. A 27MM fits over it but has alot of slack. I purchased the bike new and it has never been apart like this before.
